In short, No.
In light of recent discussions and concerns, we are issuing the following joint statement to clarify the position on member data and our ongoing commitment to confidentiality, legality, and harm reduction. Please read the full statement below for details.
Joint Statement by Cannabis Harm Reduction Associations (CHRAs)
Following a recent meeting with the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis (ARUC), we, the undersigned Cannabis Harm Reduction Associations, wish to provide a clear and unified reassurance: no register of members will be requested, and no personal details of members will be shared with ARUC or any other entity.
ARUC has confirmed that CHRAs are not required to pass on any personal data. It is important to note that the phrase "without giving any personal details" has been removed from the law. This change ensures that in situations where compliance with the law is necessary, identification may be required solely for verification purposes in specific circumstances, such as when a law is broken or during on-site checks.
This clarification reaffirms our shared commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and trust—principles that are essential to the success of this reform and the continued safety of our members. We are issuing this statement to address any confusion or misinformation that may have circulated in recent weeks. Our role remains to provide safe, controlled, and confidential spaces for cannabis users, fully aligned with the law and the principles of harm reduction.
